A. Registration
- Students must register within the designated period before the start of each semester (if you are not registered you will be expelled).
- The tuition notice must be printed separately using the INFO21 system [registration/scholarship-tuition fee details (bottom)].
※ Graduates must register for research status both to maintain graduate student status and to provide thesis guidance.
B. Course registration
- Course registration must be made before the start of each semester.
- Course registration must be done separately using the course registration system (http://sugang.khu.ac.kr).
- Course registration and correction must be made only within the designated period (no change or deletion outside the period).
C. Term of study
- The term of study for master's and doctoral programs is 2 years (4 semesters).
- The term of a research course is 1 year (two semesters) and a term of a special course is 6 months to 1 year.
D. Course composition
- Courses run both day and night.
- Courses consist of general and special lectures. Courses can be conducted in various ways, such as seminars, special lectures, group discussions, team teachings, and overseas education.
- Courses are composed of common courses, essential courses, and elective courses.
E. Credits earned per semester
- Credits earned per semester cannot exceed 9 credits for a master's program and 12 credits for a doctoral program. Pass courses and additional credits (prerequisites) are not included in the acquired credits.
- Credits for special courses must be at least 6 credits per semester.
F. Credits

Students must attend at least two-thirds of the class to earn credits, and their grades must be at least D-(0.7)
※ However, in order to qualify for major examinations, grades should be above an average grade C (2.0), and for the thesis should be above grade B (3.0).
- The Pass/Non-Pass grade is not reflected in the GPA.

H. Excused Absences
If a student is absent for any of the following reasons, he/she should submit an acknowledgement letter of attendance and supporting evidence to the instructor.
- Death of an immediate family member (grandparent, parent, sibling, spouse) (5 days)
- Military service (date of notice)
- Attending an event at the request of a government agency or school (applicable date)
- Practice teaching and participation in a study tour, training program, or other event acknowledged by the Dean of Graduate School (applicable period)
- Menstruation (Once a month/1 day)
- Illness which makes attendance impossible (within 4 weeks)
- Employment exam for a prospective graduate (registrant of last semester)
- Childbirth of oneself or spouse (oneself : 20 days, spouse : 10 days)
- Other reasons permitted by the president of KHU (applicable period)
I. Lecture evaluation
- An evaluation of the course which the student has taken during the semester must be conducted.
- A separate evaluation should be performed using the INFO21 system [Class/grade-class-lecture evaluation].
※ If the student has not evaluated the lecture within the period, they cannot access their grade during the grade-reading period.
J. Checking grades
- Transcripts can be viewed using the INFO21 system [Class/Grade-Grade]
- Students can only graduate with an average grade of B (3.0) or higher.
